The island of Tsougria is visible from the clock tower in Skiathos town and is only a brief boat trip away.

Leave early in the morning and you can pass a carefree day idling on its four beaches or hiking up the island’s rocky ridge for a panorama of Skiathos and nearby Skopelos.

Tsourgria is uninhabited but in the summer there’s a bar open at the stunning public beach on the northwest coast.

Unwinding here you can watch the motorboats shuttling back and forth to Skiathos Town, and take a dip in the light blue transparent sea.

About The Location

Sporades islands lie on the northwestern part of the Aegean Sea.  The region is out of the main path of the ‘meltemi’ the north wind that prevails on the Aegean Sea in summer months, so things are much calmer than other places, such as the Cyclades islands. Winds blow usually up to 4-5 Beauforts, north – northwest direction.

Perfect for a day trip and can be combined with visits to Arkos, Tsougriaki and round the island trips.

The island has the beautiful chapel of Agios Floros, which is a favourite spot for photos.
